| A Whippet Walks the Tightrope |
| Kody is a whippet. Whippets love to run. Kody wasn't paying attention one day to what he was doing and managed to tear the cranial cruciate ligament in his left hind leg. |
 |
| Kody's owner, Susan Mallonee of AmberWind Sighthounds, immediately brought him to Elizabeth Animal Hospital where Dr. Morris, one of the few vets in Colorado that can perform the Tightrope® CCL repair surgery, was able to perform the surgery that helped Kody regain full mobility. |
| It wasn't long before Kody was back to running like his old self, although he now seems to be a little more careful when he makes those fast, tight turns. |
 |
| And now Kody has discovered a new sport: jumping off docks as a SplashDog. He loves doing it and can't wait until summer when he can compete in what is now his favorite activity. Not a day goes by without Kody doing something that would have been impossible for him if Dr. Morris hadn't repaired his cranial cruciate ligament. He is truly a success story! |
